Windsor Man Sets World Record

A Windsor man has set a new Guinness World Record for distance traveled on a personal vehicle over 24 hours.

Danny "Hurricane" Halmo rode a Segway 220km from 3pm Saturday to 3pm Sunday.

"Me and the Segway kind of became one. I felt like a kind of cyborg or something. It was very strange, very surreal."

Halmo broke the record riding an oval track setup in the parking lot of Unconquered Sun in Tecumseh.

He used a total of four Segway batteries that he rotated through to set the record.
