Divers Find Body Of Missing Man In Lake Huron

Police have recovered the body of an Aurora man reported missing after disappearing in the waters of Lake Huron off private property in Saugeen First Nation.

23-year old Garrett Lewis was last seen in a rocky area of the water during the evening of August 20.

At 7:45am this morning, OPP divers recovered the body of Garrett Lewis.

Police say the search was very active and included assistance from the general public, Saugeen Shores Fire Department, OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, OPP Aviation Services, and both the Bruce Peninsula and South Bruce OPP Marine Unit’s.

A post-mortem examination has been scheduled.
