Mental Health Fundraiser Raises $17K For LHSC

The second annual Hike For Happiness raised $17, 171 for London Health Sciences Centre's Mental Health Patient Assistance Program.

On Tuesday, Ravi Gupta, founder of the fundraiser, presented a check to LHSC, bringing the total money raised to over $30,000 in two years.

Next year, organizers hope to expand or move the event into Thorndale and surrounding areas.

LHSC's Mental Health Patient Assistance Program provides assistance with treatment related expenses on an emergency, short-term basis when funding is not available from other sources.
