Cyclist Killed In Crash

The OPP says a cyclist is dead after being hit by a car on Hwy. 59, just outside Norwich.

Police were called to the stretch of highway between Quaker St. and Utility Line around 9:30pm last night.

Investigators say the car was heading northbound when it hit the cyclist, who has travelling southbound in the northbound lane.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman driving the car was not hurt.

The name of the cyclist has not been released.

The Oxford OPP continues to investigate.
