Driver Faces Impaired Charges In Motorcycle Crash

Police allege the woman behind the wheel of a car that struck a motorcyclist, leaving him in critical condition, was impaired and did not have insurance.

Officers were called to the intersection of Gladstone Ave. and Russel Ave. around 8:30am yesterday morning.

A 50-year-old motorcyclist was hit by a Pontiac Pursuit. The man was taken to hospital and remains in critical condition.

Investigators say the driver of the car was arrested at the scene. She was taken to hospital and refused to take a drug test.

Officers allegedly found a stolen wallet and GPS in her car.

Amber McCabe, 29, of London faces charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm, refusing to submit to drug evaluation, driving without insurance, and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

She is scheduled to appear in court today.
