It is London's Deputy Police Chief Brent Shea's last day on the job after a 35 year long career.
Deputy Chief Shea joined the London police in July of 1980 and has been with the force ever since; working in major crimes, forensics, human resources and corporate services.
"It has been a wonderful opportunity to help contribute to the growth and development of the city through the provision of security and safety and making people's comfort levels better," Shea tells BlackburnNews.com. "I am incredibly pround of the men and women of this service."
Shea is replaced by new Deputy Chief Daryl Longworth with Woodstock police.
London's Chief of Police Brad Duncan also retired this year on May 1.
