Majors Edged by Cardinals

The London Majors lost a close one in Hamilton Friday night as they were beaten by the Cardinals 4-3.

A two-out single in the bottom of the eighth by Hamilton shortstop Chris Beer sealed the Majors' fate.

London shortstop Paul Lytwynec, first baseman Cleveland Brownlee and catcher Larry Gonzalez each had two hits. Mitch Lumley took the loss.

The Majors fell to 11-9 on the season but get an opportunity for payback on Saturday when the Cardinals visit Labatt Park. Game time is 7:30pm.
