Majors Win On Canada Day

The London Majors had a winning Canada Day at Labatt Park, defeating the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2.

Major's left-fielder Michael Ambrose hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the second that tied the game, and the Majors shut out the Leafs after that.

Luis Pina went seven innings for the win. Owen Boon threw two scoreless innings of two-hit ball for his second save.

The Majors' record improves to 11-8 on the season.

Friday evening the Majors will be in Hamilton to take on the Cardinals.

​Seth Jarvis scored the game-winner in overtime in Carolina's 4-3 comeback victory over the Vegas Golden Knights. The Stanley Cup Finals are now tied at one game apiece.
