Near Miss For Woodstock Bulk Food Store

Woodstock police say they're still working on figuring out why a woman hit a Bulk Barn with her vehicle.

It happened on Tuesday at about 7:30pm at the store on Dundas St. at Clarke St. in Woodstock. The store was open and there were shoppers inside at the time.

Investigators say the 61-year-old accelerated and lost control of her vehicle. It hit an unoccupied parked car and jumped the curb, landing on the sidewalk and scraping the brickwork on the storefront.

The woman's car took the bulk of the damage, estimated at $6,000. There was minimal damage to the parked car and the storefront.
