Fleetwood Country Cruize-In Returns

The annual mecca for car nuts and gearheads is on this weekend at the Plunkett Estate on Elviage Rd.

The Fleetwood Country Cruize-in goes Saturday and Sunday, rain or shine.

In addition to regular celebrity visitors George Barris, Candy Clark and Gene Whitfield, organizer Steve Plunkett has secured the stars of one of the most popular TV series of the late 70s and early 80s.

Tom Wopat and John Schneider, who played Luke and Bo Duke, will be on hand. So will Tony Sarmento, the builder and lead mechanic for the original General Lee.

In 2014, Plunkett found room for more than 8,500 cars over the Cruize-in weekend. Other attractions include the Farmall square-dancing tractors, amphi-cars, fly-overs by vintage jets and Plunkett opens his Cadillac museums for public viewing.

Admission is $10 per person per day with most proceeds going to charity. Plunkett has raised more than one million dollars for local charities over the years. More info and directions are available HERE.
