Police Act Charge Laid Against St. Thomas Cop

A St. Thomas police officer already facing a criminal charge is now charged under the Police Services Act.

Aaron Fraser is accused of submitting fraudulent claims to the third party company that provides benefits to St. Thomas police officers.

The 38-year-old was suspended from duty in October when the allegations arose.

In January, he was charged with one count of Fraud under $5,000.

St. Thomas police announced Monday that he has been charged under the Police Services Act with Discreditable Conduct and Deceit.

A hearing has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 in the council chambers at St. Thomas city hall.
