Charges in Crash That Caused 401 Closure

OPP have charged a driver for a collision that caused the closure of the 401 eastbound in the Woodstock area on Monday afternoon.

A pickup hit two cars and two tractor-trailers causing all eastbound lanes to be blocked off between Foldens Line and Sweaburg Rd for more than 2 hours.  The pickup driver, 32-year-old William Coutts of Waterloo, had minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. No one else was hurt.

Coutts has been charged with driving while under suspension, dangerous operation of motor vehicle and driving while disqualified. He has been released with a future court date in Woodstock.
