Knights Crush Sting

The London Knights scored six unanswered goals in the first period enroute to an 11-4 thrashing of the Sarnia Sting at the RBC Centre on New Year's Eve.

They added three more goals in the second period and two in the third. The Sting scored two goals in the second period and two in the final 20 minutes. Sarnia head coach Trevor Letowski.

Michael McCarron and Christian Dvorak led the Knights with three goals each. Mitchell Marner scored two goals for London, and Victor Mete, Aaron Berisha, as well as Chandler Yakimowicz scored one each.

Noah Bushnell, Daniel Nikandrov, Jakob Chychrun and Jake O'Donnell scored for Sarnia, It was O'Donnell's first OHL goal.

The Sting were without seven of their regular players during Wednesday's game due to injuries and World Junior Hockey Championship commitments.
