Maroons extend win streak to five to start season

The Chatham Maroons are the first team in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) to reach five wins this season.

They hosted the St. Marys Lincolns on Sunday, winning 5-2.

Alexander Lisi and Jaxon Priddle each scored two goals, while Dylan Richter scored the other.

Six Maroons had two points in the game, including the three goal scorers, Trevor Zanutto, Max Skinner, and Ian Lachance.

Samuel DiBlasi made 31 saves in the win. He's the third goalie to earn a win in the Maroons' first five games of the season, joining Viljami Kukkola and Blake Verberne.

The Maroons have scored at least five goals in each of their games, 33 in total.

The team will look for its sixth straight win to start the season on Sunday at home against the London Nationals. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at Chatham Memorial Arena.
