Maroons victory parade set for June

The 2025 Sutherland Cup champions are ready to celebrate.

The Chatham Maroons have announced the team's championship parade and rally.

The parade kicks off at 2 p.m. on June 8 at the corner of Elm and Queen. After that, it will head south down Queen Street before turning right onto Tweedsmuir Avenue.

The rally will take place in the parking lot of the Chatham Memorial Arena.

There will be special appearances by both the Sutherland Cup and the Western Conference Trophy. Community members can also expect to hear from Mayor Darrin Canniff, members of the team, and the Maroons' head coach.

The Maroons became the 2025 Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) champions after defeating the St. Catharines Falcons in six games.

It's the second time the Maroons have won the Sutherland Cup. In 1999, they beat the Stratford Cullitons to win the title.
