Wallaceburg's Griffith named captain of AHL's Bakersfield Condors

A Wallaceburg hockey player was just given one of the sports biggest honours.

Seth Griffith was recently named the captain of the Bakersfield Condors, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers.

The 31-year-old is currently in his 5th season with the team, playing a total of 259 games. In those games he’s scored 79 goals and assisted on another 165 for 244 points, the most in franchise history.

Since turning pro in 2013, Griffith has the second most points across the AHL. Along with the Condors, he has suited up for the Providence Bruins, Toronto Marlies, Rochester Americans, and Manitoba Moose.

Griffith is the fourth captain in Condors’ history. He joins Ryan Hamilton, who served from 2015 to 2018; Keegan Lowe, who served from 2018 to 2020, and Brad Malone, who served from 2020 to 2024.
