Canada doubles up on gold in hammer throw

Camryn Rogers made more history at the Paris Games, by claiming gold in the women's hammer throw.

Rogers winning throw was 76.97 metres, topping USA's Annette Echikunwoke (75.48) and China's Zhao Jie (74.27).

Two days ago, Canada had never won a medal in hammer throw at the Olympics. Now the nation is on top of the world in the men's and women's category, after Ethan Katzberg won gold in the men's hammer throw on Sunday.

Rogers gave Canada its 18th medal of these Olympic Games, which will wrap up Sunday.
