The front office of the Windsor Spitfires continued humming Tuesday as more roster moves were made.
As of 12:30 p.m., the OHL team traded away two players and acquired two other players. The Spits also collected seven draft picks and sent away five more, two of them conditional.
The OHL's trade deadline is Wednesday.
The first deal announced Tuesday was the acquisition of blueliner Djibril Toure from the Sudbury Wolves. Windsor is sending off an eighth-round draft pick for 2025 and a third-round selection in 2027.
Toure is from Dorval, Quebec, and was signed last season by Sudbury as a free agent. He appeared in 81 games over two seasons, scoring 11 goals for 28 points. He was awarded an entry-level contract earlier this season with the NHL's Ottawa Senators.
The second deal involved one of Windsor's top snipers. Forward Oliver Peer was sent to the Flint Firebirds in exchange for five draft choices. They consist of a second-round pick in 2025, two third-round picks in 2026, an 11th-round choice in 2026, and a fourth-rounder in 2027.
Peer had been one of Windsor's more consistent scoring threats. This season, the Burlington native scored 22 goals for 47 points.
Next, the Spitfires welcomed back one of their previous stars, reacquiring forward Pasquale Zito from the North Bay Battalion. Windsor is sending a conditional fifth-round draft pick in 2025, a 15th-round selection in 2025, and a conditional third-rounder in 2027.
Zito, from Ottawa, was drafted by the Spits in 2019 and played in 95 regular-season games over two seasons. He then saw time with Mississauga and North Bay.
The fourth deal of the day sent forward Aidan Castle to the Saginaw Spirit for an 11th-round draft pick in 2026. Castle, a native of Mississauga, scored eight goals for Windsor over two seasons.
The roster moves come a day after the Spitfires made three adjustments, trading three players, claiming a fourth off waivers, and collecting seven draft picks.
The Spitfires host Saginaw on Wednesday night.
