Jr. hockey wrap-up – February 11, 2019

The Dresden Kings have eliminated the Blenheim Blades from the first round of the Junior C playoffs following a 6-3 victory on Monday.

Dawson Winchester, Nolen Vandenboorn, Eric Carter, Greg Hay, Brendan Ritchie and Derek Shaw all scored once for Dresden.

Dede Cato led Blenheim with two goals, and Steven Funk scored the other.

Dresden won the best of seven series 4-1.

The Kings will move on to the second round of the Western Conference Finals to take on the Amherstburg Admirals or the Mooretown Flags.
