Carleton Leads Canada Past Turkey

Chatham's Bridget Carleton has the day off, but she was definitely on her game Wednesday night as Canada beat Turkey at the Edmonton Grads International Classic.

Carleton co-led team Canada's Senior Women's National Team with 14 points to trounce Turkey 78-45.

The Edmonton Grads International Classic continues Friday with Canada facing Turkey again at 7pm.

The event serves as a warm-up for the team as they prepare for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018, which is taking place from September 22-30 in Tenerife, Spain.

Canada is currently ranked a program-high 5th in the FIBA World ranking presented by Nike.
