A Win And A Tie For The Cobras

The Kent Teksavvy Cobras Bantam AE team will have a chance to bring home a provincial title this coming weekend.

They hosted the Brampton 45s for the first two games of the OMHA finals Saturday and Sunday, winning the first game 5-3 and tying the second one 5-5.

"We managed to win a tough game Saturday 5-3, including an empty net goal," head coach Jason Bright told BlackburnNews.com in an email. "Then we let a 5-1 lead slip away and ended up tied 5-5 [in game two]."

The win and the tie give the Cobras a lead of 3 points to 1 point in the series. The first team to 6 points wins the title.

The next two games of the series will be played in Brampton on Saturday, March 18 at 5:15pm and Sunday, March 19 at 2:15pm.
