Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – November 4, 2016

In PJHL action on Friday, the Lakeshore Canadiens won their fifth straight game, beating the Wheatley Sharks 7-3.

Kyle Gagnon led Lakeshore with two goals, while Lucas Gignac, JJ Percy, Connor Rosaasen, Colin Sartor and Jake Nimmo each had one.

Alixe Saliba was lead scorer for Wheatley with two goals, and Calyn Kir scored one.

The Sharks head to Wallacerbug on Sunday to take on the Lakers at 7:30pm. And then on Monday, the Canadiens face the Sharks again at 7pm in Wheatley.

As well, Dillon Liberty led the Kings to a 5-4 overtime win against the Essex 73's, breaking a four game losing skid for Dresden.

Liberty scored twice during regular play, as well as the game winner in OT to complete the hat trick. Macks Holmes and Steven Funk scored the other two goals for Dresden.

Tyler Scott led Essex in scoring with two goals, while Riley Meyerink and Eric Shaw each scored once.

The Kings are back on the ice when they take on the Flags in Mooretown on Saturday at 7:30pm. And then on Tuesday, the 73's will battle the Kings again in Essex at 7pm.
