Flyers Edge Nationals In Game 1

The Leamington Flyers beat the London Nationals 2-1 in Game 1 of the GOJHL Western Conference Final.

The Flyers drew first blood with a goal just under seven minutes into the game, but London tied things up with a goal of their own a few minutes later. Leamington edged ahead by one goal going into the second, and after no scoring in the final two frames, the Flyers left the ice with the win.

Liam Hogan and Mark Manchurek both scored once for Leamington.

Matt Doty scored the one goal for London.

Both teams return to the ice for Game 2 on Saturday at 7:30pm.
