Jr. Hockey Wrap Up - March 1, 2016

In Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League play on Tuesday night, the Amherstburg Admirals shutout the Blenheim Blades in a crucial Game 5 semi-finals playoff match up.

Travis Campbell started the scoring in the 5-0 win with an unassisted goal early in the first period. The Admirals would scored two goals in each of the following periods with Dylan Muzzatti scoring twice on the power play.

Connor Meyerink made 28 saves in recording the shutout. Blades goalie Klinton Kenney was chased from the net after giving up four goals on 18 shots. His replacement, Eric Stewardson, saved three of the four shots he faced.

The Admirals lead the best-of-seven series 3-2.

Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday night at the Libro Centre, with the Blades travelling to Amherstburg needing to win to keep their season alive. Puck-drop is set for 7pm.
