Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 6, 2016

The Blenheim Blades edged the Dresden Kings 6-5 in double overtime in Junior C hockey action on Saturday.

Brayden Hopkins led the Blades with a hat-trick, while Matt Clark scored two including the game winner in OT. George Wood scored the other goal for Blenheim.

Kevin Ritzer, Taylor Sisson, Isaac McLean, Dillon Liberty and Will Tetzlaff all scored once for Dresden.

The win gives the Blades a 2-1 lead in their best of seven Junior C playoff series.

As well, the Lakeshore Canadiens beat the Mooretown Flags 3-2 in overtime to take a 1-0 playoff series lead.

Jarrett Tazzman, Sebastian Kanally and Colin Sartor all scored once for Lakeshore.

In Junior B hockey, the Leamington Flyers scored a 3-2 victory over the Sarnia Legionnaires.

Zach Guilbeault, Nicolas Mainella and Mark Gangnon each scored one for the Flyers.

And the LaSalle Vipers edged the Strathroy Rockets 3-2.

Brett Primeau, Nathan Savage and Nathan Veres all had one goal for LaSalle.
