Spitfire Named OHL Player Of The Month

The Ontario Hockey League has announced that left winger Brendan Lemieux of the Windsor Spitfires is OHL Player of the Month.

On Wednesday, the OHL released the Top OHL Performers of the Month for regular season games played in December 2015, which included Lemieux.

The Winnipeg Jets prospect recorded 12 goals, six assists and 18 points in nine games between Windsor and the Barrie Colts.

Lemieux earned star of the game recognition six times, being named the first star of the game on four different occasions. The 6'1", 210 lbs winger is also currently in the midst of a 16-game point streak that dates back to November 15.

Lemieux currently has 20 goals, nine assists and 29 points in 19 games this season.
