Chatham Native Earns Jamieson Jr Golf Victory

The first leg of the Widdifield Cup kicked off today with the sixth event in the Jamieson Junior Golf Tour at Ridgetown Golf Club.

In the Junior Girls Division, Chatham native Brooke MacKinnon got her first tour victory with a 77, edging Melanie Burgess of Roseland by two strokes.

Blenheim native Andrew Reaume tied for second place with Graham Byrne in the Junior Boys division, with both shooting par at 72. Marcus Slipchuk of Pointe West is the first two time winner this season, shooting 70.

Michigan Wolverine Bryce Evon continued his dominated in the Collegiate Men's Division with a score of five under 67. Emily Stadder, who plays for the University of Windsor, earned her second victory of the year with a five over 77 in the Women’s Collegiate Division.

The second and final round of the of the Widdifield Cup will be played Thursday in Kingsville
