The Tecumseh Chiefs are not dead.
Ontario Hockey Association CEO Scott Farley says the Tecumseh group's proposal for a junior 'C' hockey franchise was one of the most thorough and professionally presented he's seen in years.
"Tecumseh could be a valued member of both the OHA and also of the league that they would be a part of," he says. "It would be in all of our interests to find a way to make that work."
Farley says the Chiefs group is interested in persuing whatever options they can to bring junior hockey to the town.
OHA officials plan to meet with other Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League team owners to address concerns which may have lead to a majority vote against an expansion team in Tecumseh.
