The Detroit Lions have selected offensive guard Laken Tomlinson as their first round pick and 28th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft.
The Lions originally were slotted with the 23rd pick overall, but traded it to the Denver Broncos for their 28th pick and a fifth rounder. The Lions also got offensive lineman Manny Ramirez and a fifth round pick next year from the Broncos.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers kicked off this year's draft, selecting former Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston first overall. Quarterback Marcus Mariota was chosen second overall by the Tennessee Titans.
