You can now officially cast your vote in Chatham-Kent's (CK) municipal election.
While polls remain closed, online voting is available until October 16 at 4 p.m.
To vote online, you'll need your Voting PIN, which you should have already received in the mail.
You'll be asked to submit your PIN and date of birth.
After agreeing to the declaration and acknowledgment statement, you'll then be able to vote for mayor, council, and school board trustees.
You can edit your votes before officially submitting your ballot.
People with no plans to vote are still encouraged to visit the site and specifically mention that they don't plan to participate. They can do this after reading the declaration and acknowledgment statement, as there will be options to vote and not to vote.
Anyone who'd rather vote in person will have to wait until October 15, when advance polls open. There will be voting stations in Chatham (John D. Bradley Centre), Wallaceburg (Wallaceburg First Baptist Church), Blenheim (Blenheim St. Mary's Hall), Ridgetown (Ridgetown Youth Centre), Tilbury (Tilbury District Memorial Arena), and Dresden (Ken Houston Memorial Arena).
Advance polls will be open October 15 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., October 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and October 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
People can also vote on election day, October 26, by visiting their assigned polling station. You can find out where to vote on the Municipality of CK's website.
