A busy intersection in Chatham will be under construction for the next three months.
Work is scheduled to start at Park Avenue East and Sass Road on Monday, with the municipality estimating that the construction will be done in December.
The intersection is being widened for new turn lanes, while new traffic lights, curbs, sidewalks, street lights, and pavement will be added.
CK's council approved $1.8 million in funding for the project back in August.
Park Avenue East and Creek Road, which turns into Sass Road on the other side of the intersection, will remain open to traffic. Sass Road will be closed for a portion of the project, with a detour being set up during this time.
