More than 220 riders raised an impressive $32,000 to support Chatham-Kent Hospice.
The 3rd Annual Craig’s Cruise for Comfort, an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) Poker Ride, brought together the riders to raise funds to support end-of-life care, grief and bereavement support, and residential hospice care in Chatham-Kent.
The event stopped at Riverside Powersports in Prairie Siding, Central Tavern in Pain Court, the Dresden Agricultural Society at the Dresden Racetrack, Par 72 in Wallaceburg, and Bob N’ Buoys Bar & Grill in Mitchell’s Bay.
Riders collected a poker chip at each stop to build their poker hand throughout the day and at the end of the ride, the riders with the top three poker hands received cash prizes of $1,000 for 1st, $500 for 2nd, and $250 for 3rd.
Following the ride, approximately 300 people gathered at The Scot in Tilbury for supper and the evening’s activities.
The 50/50 raffle was won by Doug Young.
