If you feel the need to cuddle some kittens, head to the Purple Pansy on Saturday.
Feral to Forever will be at the Chatham flower shop from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for a special fundraising event called Purrs, Petals and Pastries.
The volunteer-run foster-based cat rescue, formerly known as Kelly's Cat Cab, will be celebrating it's one year anniversary by offering items from a number of businesses and allowing the public a chance to meet some cats looking for forever homes.
"One year ago, I never imagined how much support this community would show us," said Kelly Johnson, Feral to Forever founder. "Purrs, Petals & Pastries is more than a fundraiser. It's a celebration of what we've accomplished together."
Johnson added that the rescue is grateful to all its generous sponsors, volunteers, foster families, and everyone who has helped us give so many cats a second chance.
For sale will be pre-ordered boxes of gourmet cupcakes, from Lisa Roberts Cake Creations, and bouquets. A portion of the proceeds will go back to Feral to Forever.
Also up for grabs is a special prize, donated by The Purple Pansy. Entries to win the prize can be earned through donations.
