It's a night one senior will soon hope to forget.

Chatham-Kent police say a 73-year-old man was charged in Blenheim on Wednesday after he allegedly struck someone with a piece of wood while drunk.

He also reportedly damaged a home's window with a shovel and threatened three other people.

The man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, mischief, and three counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death.

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing.
