No one was hurt in a garage fire on Wednesday.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue (CKFR) was called to a blaze on Grande River Line in Chatham at about 6:30 p.m.
Crews from multiple fire stations responded to extinguish strong flames that were visible from all sides of the structure. Firefighters were able to knock the fire down quickly, to keep it from spreading.
According to CKFR, damage to the garage and the loss of its contents, including two vehicles, is estimated at $250,000.
The cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
