Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Chatham.

Officers were called to the intersection of McNaughton Avenue East and Taylor Avenue around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26.

The pedestrian, a 28-year-old woman from Chatham, suffered serious injuries. The 66-year-old woman driving the car was not hurt.

The Traffic Management Unit was called in to investigate and the road was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
