Handbag event raises $35K for CK Hospice families

A Chatham-Kent (CK) Hospice fundraiser continues delivering for families.

According to CK Hospice, the Spring Handbags for Hospice on April 16 raised more than $35,000 to support local families receiving care from CK Hospice.

Guests enjoyed twelve rounds of Bingo with designer handbags as prizes, a raffle table featuring over 30 donated items from local businesses and residents, the Michael Kors Platinum Purse draw, and a unique opportunity to win a mystery bag, noted Hospice.

“Handbags for Hospice is always a highlight for our community,” said Brock McGregor, Executive Director of CK Hospice Foundation. “We are deeply grateful to the volunteers, sponsors, and attendees who make this event possible. Every dollar raised goes directly to providing compassionate care to our residents and grief support to families at no cost.”

The next Handbags for Hospice event will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
