Trespassing Charge

A man from Chatham-Kent has been charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling and failing to comply with his court release conditions after his mother called police to remove him.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the 37-year-old accused had to be removed four times from his mother's home in northeast Chatham in a span of two days.

Police alleged the son was removed twice on Sunday and twice on Monday after his mother reported him to police.

Weapons Charge

Several charges have been laid against a Dresden man after a dispute between roommates involving a knife.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the 39-year-old accused stabbed a knife through a door and threatened to stab his roommate after an altercation escalated between the two men on Monday.

The suspect has been charged with weapons dangerous, mischief, uttering threats, and failure to comply with a release order.

Warrants Arrests

Chatham-Kent police have arrested more than a dozen people wanted on outstanding arrest warrants since Friday.

Police said a total of five individuals were arrested on Monday under outstanding warrants in the Chatham-Kent area.

During the weekend, a total of 10 individuals were arrested under outstanding warrants in Chatham and surrounding areas, according to police.

Four arrests occurred on Friday, including two men from Chatham, one man from Raleigh Township, and one woman from Wallaceburg. On Saturday, two individuals were taken into custody, including one man from Wallaceburg and one woman from Chatham. Then on Sunday, four additional arrests were made, comprising of two men from Wallaceburg and Chatham, and two women from Wallaceburg.

Police said some accused were held for bail, while others were released pending a court date.
