UPDATE: One arrested after police investigation in Wallaceburg

The active police investigation in Wallaceburg has been fully resolved.

Chatham-Kent Police were asking residents to avoid Wallace Street between Prince Street and Mitchell Drive early Friday morning.

Police said officers were dealing with a 21-year-old Wallaceburg man in crisis, but the area is now clear, and the public can return to the area.

According to police, the accused made threats toward officers during the interaction that started shortly before 3 a.m., indicating there were weapons inside the home.

The accused was taken into custody almost six hours later and he will be charged with one count of uttering death threats.

The investigation continues.
