CK radio station officially launches on FM

It's a new age for one of Chatham-Kent's (CK) more popular radio stations.

Over 100 people were at Red Barn Brewing in Chatham on Saturday to celebrate the launch of BIG COUNTRY 91.3 FM.

The radio station has been broadcasting as CFCO on AM radio for nearly 100 years and on FM airwaves since 2000. These frequencies are no longer in use, so people will have to tune in to 91.3 FM.

All on-air hosts the community has enjoyed listening to for years are staying on. The morning show will now be The BIG Breakfast with Dave & Cheryl, while the afternoon show will be The BIG Drive with Mike Regnier.

Local news will also continue to be broadcast on the radio station.

"BIG COUNTRY 91.3 FM doesn’t just talk at listeners; it’s part of their lives. Our strategy focuses on energy, authenticity, and feel-good content that is grounded in the real-world experiences of our community," said Dave Palmer, Program Manager of BIG COUNTRY 91.3 FM.

These changes will have no impact on anyone who listens online. BIG COUNTRY 91.3 FM will continue to stream online via the iHeartRadio app and on smart speakers.
