Chatham-Kent police made two arrests on Wednesday following investigations into domestic disturbances.
Just before 6:30 p.m., CK police were called to a Chatham home for a report of intimate partner violence.
Officers determined that a physical fight had occurred between a 29-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman.
The man was arrested and charged with assault. He has since been released from police custody with a future court date.
Later that night, police responded to a home in Wheatley for a separate report of intimate partner violence.
According to police, a 40-year-old man came to the residence uninvited and got into a physical fight with a 38-year-old woman. During the fight, police determined that the man had threatened and thrown a table at the victim.
The suspect had left the home before police arrived, but he was quickly found and arrested.
The Wheatley man faces charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and breaking and entering.
He's being held in police custody pending bail.
No medical attention was required in either case.
