A 23-year-old Chatham man is facing a handful of charges after a woman was assaulted.
Just before 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to reports of a man allegedly violating court conditions.
According to police, the man went to the home of a 24-year-old woman, which was a violation of his two probation orders.
Police later found out the woman had been assaulted. She was taken to hospital for further treatment.
A 23-year-old man is charged with two counts of sexual assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and two counts of failure to comply.
He is currently being held for bail at police headquarters.
