Youth Charged

A 17-year-old boy has been charged after allegedly attacking another teen.

Shortly before 5 p.m. on Thursday, multiple Chatham-Kent (CK) police officers saw a large group of people at the intersection of Princess Street and King Street in Chatham.

According to police, the officers saw the suspect on top of the victim, repeatedly punching them in the face.

He was arrested and charged with assault.

He's since been released from police custody with a future court date.

Break and Enter

CK police have charged a 32-year-old woman for allegedly breaking into a home in Wallaceburg.

At around 11 a.m. on Thursday, officers were called to James Street for a potential break and enter.

When they arrived, the homeowner told them they had found someone inside their home. It's believed the suspect got in after breaking a window.

The officers later found a woman matching the suspect's description and arrested her. She was charged with breaking and entering and mischief.

She's since been released from police custody with a future court date.
