A 44-year-old Chatham man has been charged following an online child luring investigation by Chatham-Kent police.
Police alleged the accused was luring a child under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose through various social media platforms.
According to police, the investigation started on March 15 and the suspect was arrested in Chatham on March 20. Police did not release his name.
"The victim has been identified and police are working closely with the victim and their family to ensure access to appropriate supports is provided," said police.
The investigation continues and additional details will not be provided at this time, noted police.
