Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges after two thefts at the Highway 401 ONroutes between Chatham and London.
Police were called to the westbound service centre in Dutton Dunwich on Thursday, February 26, at 2:15 p.m., after $1,000 worth of property was stolen.
Then, just 45 minutes later, $1,500 worth of property was stolen from the eastbound service centre.
A 39-year-old from Mount Brydges is charged with two counts of theft and two counts of possession of stolen property.
They were released with a future court date.
