OPP charge Wallaceburg man as part of child sexual exploitation investigation

A Wallaceburg man has been charged for allegedly trying to lure someone under the age of 16.

On March 5, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU) executed a search warrant on a home in Wallaceburg as part of a child sexual exploitation investigation.

Several electronic devices were seized from the home.

As a result of the investigation, a 49-year-old man was arrested and charged with luring a person under 18 and luring a person under 16. The OPP explained that both charges relate to just one victim.

He's since been released from police custody with a future court date of April 2, 2026.
