Firefighters responded to the house fire on Edgar Street just after 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
According to the Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue Service (CKFR), firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, displacing three people.
No injuries have been reported.
CKFR is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
The report determined the tax bill for a single-storey home if it were built in each community, with CK coming in at $3,904.
