UPDATE: Improvements on the horizon at Bloomfield Business Park Chatham

The Bloomfield Business Park on the outskirts of Chatham is expected to get $1.5 million in upgrades soon.

A tender for the next phase of improvements has been approved by Chatham-Kent Council on Monday night.

A report by Administration showed Phase 3 of the work includes extending the sanitary sewer to the west and paving Seventh Line West.

The main line hydro and street light installation would follow the underground municipal servicing and roadway reconstruction, if the work is approved.

"Continued interest and future development within the business park have created the need to proceed with Phase 3 of the project. Phase 3 builds on the work completed in 2023, with the extension of municipal infrastructure along Seventh Line to the west," Administration wrote.

Construction is anticipated to begin in the Spring, with "substantial" completion targeted for late Summer.

The tender motion was passed unanimously as part of the consent agenda.
