Volunteer tax program coming to Ridgetown library

Ridgetown residents may have the chance to get their taxes done for free.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) is making its way back to the Ridgetown branch of the Chatham-Kent Public Library.

According to the municipality, the program is in partnership with Enbridge and aims to help those with simple tax situations and modest incomes.

The initiative has limited spots, and those looking to have their taxes done are asked to call the Ridgetown branch before March 24 to ensure they qualify and to be given the next steps.

The statement from Chatham-Kent noted the income tax drop offs will take place at the Ridgetown library until March 24. For more information, call (519)674-3121 or visit the Ridgetown library.
