CK Public Library receives $20K for new features for kids

Kids will soon have new things to do at the Chatham-Kent Public Library (CKPL).

The May Court Club of Chatham, an organization that primarily helps women and children, is donating $20,000 to the library.

The funds will be used to create a reading nook, an interactive play wall, and a "sort and stack" storykit.

The reading nook will be a cozy space for kids to play and read, the play wall includes panels for kids to interact with, while the storykit is a new addition to the library's collection, aimed at helping kids learn in a fun way.

Each feature will be set up at the library's new home at the Chatham-Kent Community Hub once the project is finished.

The CKPL plans to use some of these funds on an additional project, which will be announced later this spring.
